I do believe that the path of Christ is a path of light, I’m just really confused with some of the words that made their way into the bible.
I am not understanding how one path and one path only can be a reality. So many people, so many backgrounds and so much to learn, I just can’t see how it fits the way it is taught.
I guess I shouldn’t question it so much. After all I was born into a Catholic family, I’m pretty sure that makes me a chosen one. But, I can’t make sense of it. I search my heart and I feel the presence of God, and I don’t think it’s anger I feel, more like Agape.
Gandhi is quoted as saying ”I like your Christ; I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” He finished this thought by saying “To be a good Hindu also meant that I would be a good Christian. There is no need for me to join your creed to be a believer in the beauty of the teachings of Jesus or try to follow His example.”
I guess that’s really where I’m at with it. I don’t want to join the creed but I do want to believe in the beauty of the teachings of Jesus and try to follow His example. I said try…..
