OCCUPYLA KICKS OFF LUNCHTIME SPEAKER SERIES
Occupy LA. is in solidarity with Occupy Wallstreet. The official occupation began on Oct. 1, 2011. The voted and decided location that the group is occupying is located at LA City Hall: 200 N. Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
There are currently over 500 peaceful protestors occupying the front lawn at City Hall sleeping in tents.

WHAT:
A daily Speaker Symposium is planned at 12 noon -Monday through Sunday to address the Occupiers and local businesses and residents on a number of social issues affecting us in every facet in today’s unpredictable times. The purpose of the Speakers Symposium is to provide a public forum to address these issue and solutions for building viable strong communities across the country.
This week’s series will include Josh & Rebecca Tickell, award-winning documentary filmmakers (“Fuel”and “Freedom”). Their latest film, “The Big Fix”
debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in May, 2011 and will premiere in New Orleans
this week. The list includes NY Times best selling author Marianne Williamson
with more speakers to be announced.

SPEAKER SYMPOSIUM: Monday 10/10 12:00pm – Sharif Abdullah ,author of “Creating a World that Works for All”
Eco Tuesday 10/11 12:00pm – Josh & Rebecca Tickell documentary filmmakers. of Fuel, The Big Fix.and Freedom are joined by Alec Loorz,Teenage Revolutionary Activist and the zero waste team from Occupy LA.
Wednesday:10/12
12:00pm – Marianne Williamson, NY Times best selling author will talk followed by a Q&A, and lead the group in a meditation, and join Occuply LA’s livestream with a meditation that will be sent out globally to over the 1000 cities participating in the Occupy Movement.
*Councilman Richard Alarcon’s resolution to support the protesters will be voted on early Wednesday.
