In light of Valentines day, I wanted to write a little piece on LOVE. My experience with love as well as the experiences of others that I have graciously learned from.
The most IMPORTANT part about love is to first learn and I mean truly learn to love ourselves. We can not (truly) love or unconditionally love another unless we cherish our own divine essence to the core of our beings. This probably will take many years, experience, exploration of all avenues of self and life and perhaps even loss of love, especially loss of ego. But I can say from my experience that once you love yourself fully and truly, you are kind to yourself daily through speech, actions, and thoughts…your life aligns with the path of the soul.
Recently I have finally “gotten” what it means to LOVE. I am 31 years old and have just learned what it is like to love maturely to not need for anything, but instead desire to give in an unyielding manner. To love without conditions or without needing it back in return. To look at someone and have ZERO judgments of them because I have no judgments of myself. To allow the happiness in because I am 100% happy with the person I am. To flow so easily and effortlessly with another being because I flow with grace through my own path. To not have expectation nor allow that to have control over me because I can give to myself in all the ways that i need. To TRUST the love of another because I whole heatedly trust the love that I put on to them.
I believe in the love that I feel because there is no fear around it, control does not exist in the space of true love. As soon as we find flaws in another we better be looking in our own mirror for the answers. Others and the way that we perceive them is the most precise reflection of our own inner life. I feel that once we are annoyed or critical of another person’s love or being, it is because we are not in the flow of truth and we are “not” in love. Love cant not exist without Truth.
Love is something we can not force. Love and lust are not the same but to have both in harmony is a divine union we strive to earn. I have looked back at my experiences in life and can distinctly see how its all so different now. Love truly is FREEING, allowing, not judging, supporting, sharing, uniting, exciting, comforting, playing, exploring, and fun. Love like this never has to change or end, it is only in the space to EXPAND….. we can not help who we love and we can not try to love someone. I believe it is either natural or not. You can learn to love someone but that is not an organic interaction of truth looking at truth. I recently met someone special and it feels as though I am sitting next to the male version of myself. The energy is aligned and comes from the same place. The flow of contentment is pure when there is no blockage from the ego on either side. The way we think needs to be understood and aligned with our partner, the way we live, the things we love and the energetic way of being. If they are not at your level, you will feel a rift in the union. This is not imagined, it is just a sign that your mate is not on the same conscious plane that you exist at. I always said that the one for me would be a combination of all the little things I had liked in others. Well mine came to me exactly like that along with a magic of his own. He came to me wrapped in the exact package I adore most but had never met before. It is easy, it is special, it is light, free, adoring. I feel fully “me” when I am with this person at all times. This is something I have never fully felt and always dreamed of.
I understand now why people say that “love” just happens, you cant help it. And boy when it does, there is NO questioning it, there are no doubts, there are no flaws. Its a beauty that comes, a gift of “bliss”. It will come when you do not need it and do not look for it. when you are content and in love with your life on your own. When you are happy everyday just to “be”. Because at that moment is when you let go of everything old to let in the one who will be your everything new. You can then bring your own wholeness, happiness and unite it with another person… together that is 1+1=3
The equation of true love is 1+1=3…the combination of two whole energies coming together is much greater then the two when apart. The union of divinity is the universal number of connection and light.
Happy Valentines day to all the couples in the world who are sharing true love and those of you who are about to have it, did have it and will again…honor each moment as the highest blessing from yourself, to yourself and back into the world. Shine bright and know that love is what makes the world go round. The purity, the bliss, the oneness…
